Six laid off over absenteeism at civil hospital
MS also says the extortion mafia has been eliminated
QUETTA:
MS Civil hospital Dr Muhammad Saleem Abro has said the extortion mafia has been eliminated and those selling their conscience in half salaries will be accountable before God and the people.
While speaking to journalists, Abro informed that four sweepers and two dispensers were laid off on constant absence even after they were served notices.
“The laid off employees were constantly absent and even on notices they didn’t show up,” he said adding no compromise will be made on absence and such action will be taken against all the staff and officers.
Abro further said he would not allow funds of millions to go into specific pockets.
“Extortion including all kinds of activities of absent employees has been suspended, we are the protectors of peoples’ health and resources will ensure protection at all costs,” Abro concluded.
