Police nab two bandits, seize looted valuables
Police said suspects were wanted in murder, attempt to murder and street crime cases

Saddar police claimed to have arrested two bandits during a raid in Gujranwala’s Kamoke Tehsil on Tuesday.
A police spokesperson told Express News that the force received a tip-off that two members belonging to notorious bandit gang were present in the area and were planning to commit a robbery.
He added the police team immediately conducted a raid and nabbed the suspects who were identified as Shahroz and Shamshad. The suspects hailed from Mandiala Punaich Village.
He added that looted valuables, including cash Rs0.17 million, three motorcycles, two pistols and other items were seized from the possession of the outlaws.
The official mentioned that the accused were habitual criminals and involved in carrying out robberies in different areas.
He revealed that the accused were wanted by police in several criminal cases, including murder, attempt to murder and street crimes. He disclosed that the culprits had a criminal record.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case against the suspects and have opened investigations.
A few days ago, a robber was killed during an encounter with police in Faisalabad’s Jaranwala area.
Reportedly, Muhammad Ashfaq was travelling in his vehicle when two robbers, riding a motorcycle, intercepted him near Balochni police station.
The culprits snatched mobile phones, Rs20,000 in cash and other valuables from him at gun point. While the outlaws were carrying out the robbery, people in the area informed the police regarding the incident.
A police team reached the spot and challenged the robbers. The accused opened fire on the police team and tried to escape.
During the shootout, one of the suspects was killed while the other was taken into custody.
The deceased robber was identified as Khurram, a resident of Manawala area, while the arrested accused was identified as Zulfiqar, a resident of Nankana district.
