UAE honours Pakistan Special Olympics delegation
The UAE ambassador wished the 'brave hearts' luck at a reception
ISLAMABAD:
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Embassy in Islamabad on Monday hosted a reception in honour of the Pakistan Special Olympics delegation. Around 30 athletes will be heading to Abu Dhabi to participate in the Special Olympics World Games 2019 from March 14 to 21.
UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al-Zaabi Monday received the athletes who will be competing in different sports as part of the Special Olympics, including basketball, bowling, cycling, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, athletics and swimming. The athletes were received along with officials of Pakistan Olympics.
During the reception, the UAE ambassador wished all the athletes, administrators and coaches a successful journey and participation at the event.
“I feel honoured to be among you with brave hearts,” the ambassador said.
