Awareness walk held for XDR typhoid 

Health authorities advise people to take precautions and obtain timely medical treatment

HYDERABAD: The district administration and health authorities carried out an awareness walk in Hyderabad on Monday to highlight the threat of the drug-resistant typhoid and advise people to take precautions and obtain timely medical treatment if the symptoms appear.

The divisional commissioner, Mohammad Abbas Baloch, organised the kilometre-long walk from Gymkhana to the press club.

Week-long awareness campaign for XDR Typhoid begins

Hyderabad Deputy Commissioner Syed Aijaz Ali Shah, Sindh Healthcare Commission’s Hyderabad Commissioner Prof Dr Abdul Sattar Memon, Liaquat University Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Mubeen Memon and Hyderabad District Health Officer Dr Nasreen Memon, among other officials, participated.

The walk is part of a week-long awareness drive about XDR typhoid.
