ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad Police have arrested as many as 1,748 outlaws over the past two months and recovered looted items worth more than Rs175.4 million from them, a police spokesperson claimed on Sunday.

He further claimed that as many as 75 robbery cases were traced and 143 people were arrested during the month, besides the recovery of stolen items worth Rs12.5 million from these suspects, including cash, gold ornaments and cell phones.

Police also nabbed 164 culprits who were involved in 106 cases of street crime and theft and recovered stolen items worth Rs58.1 million from them.


As many as 100 people were held for their alleged involvement in car lifting, tampering of vehicles, motorbike theft.

Police also recovered 70 stolen vehicles as well as 41 stolen motorbikes worth around Rs104.7 million from them.
