Meeting rejects false and malicious Indian propaganda against Pakistan

The Balochistan cabinet paid tribute to the Pakistan armed forces for their befitting response to the Indian aggression and lauded the peace overtures made by Prime Minister Imran Khan to his Indian counterpart in a meeting held on Friday.

The ninth cabinet meeting presided over by Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal condemned violation of Pakistani airspace by the Indian Air Force and appreciated the appropriate response by the Pakistan armed forces, which remain committed to defend the motherland along with the people.

The cabinet also rejected the false and malicious propaganda of India against Pakistan and said the government and people of Balochistan stand united against any possible Indian aggression.

Later, taking up the agenda, provincial ministers Naseebullah Marri and Asadullah Baloch said the cabinet unanimously approved new amendments in Balochistan Factories Bill, which would bound the owners of factories to make payments to the workers on time and protect the basic rights of the labourers.

“The provincial cabinet approved Balochistan Industrial Establishment Bill 2019 to secure the interest of labourers working in industrial and trade sectors,” the ministers said.

To ensure the implementation of labour laws in Balochistan, the cabinet approved Provincial Shops and Establishment Act 2019 that would bring all private schools, hospitals, and security agencies under the Labour Act.

The CM approved amendments in PC1 of construction of 100 Metric Tonnes Cold Storage in Khaliqabad, Mangochar and directed authorities to remove ambiguities in the projects of communication and agriculture departments. The cabinet announced to establish more cold storages in other districts of the province.


The ministers said following the 100 days agenda of the federal government, the cabinet approved project for lining of water courses.

“The government of Balochistan also approved installation of pipelines in Bela, Uthal, Lakhra and Kanraj for agricultural development,” said a source.

Approving purchase of one hundred thousand metric tonnes of wheat for the province, the cabinet directed food department to establish wheat purchasing centres in Lasbela and Khuzdar.

The cabinet also approved funds for the Balochistan Food Authority and decided to bestow powers of chairman food authority to the provincial food minister.

The meeting also sanctioned funds for health programmes and planned to constitute a sub-committee of the cabinet to keep a close eye on the performance of health sector.

The cabinet also ratified provincial Health Career Commission Act 2019.

The CM directed the water and sanitation department to ensure water supply to the citizens of Quetta and approved increase in tariffs for Water and Sanitation Agency.

The meeting also approved installation of new tube-wells in Balochistan and directed the concerned department to start registration of private tube-wells and water tankers.
