Suspensions: Two police officers dismissed

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Aftab Ahmad Cheema suspended two police officers on Sunday. RPO Cheema also suspended a SHO on charges of delinquency, negligence, poor-performance and abuse of power. Mamonkanjan SHO Tahir Javaid Aslam and Investigation in-charge SI Aman Ullah were accused of taking bribes and bungling funds. An investigation proved the charges to be true and the RPO dismissed both officials on Sunday. The RPO also ordered a departmental inquiry against both men and directed them to report to the Police Lines.
