QUETTA: Balochistan Assembly on Friday unanimously passed two joint resolutions expressing full solidarity with the Pakistan Army, assuring the House’s support to the armed forces and lauding their timely and accurate response to the Indian aggression.

The joint resolutions were presented by Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali and Danesh Kumar on behalf of the entire house during the assembly session chaired by Deputy Speaker Sardar Babar Khan Musakhail.

“The Balochistan Assembly and the people of Balochistan are ready to face all challenges confronting the country and shall not bear any compromise on national sovereignty,” read the resolutions adding the province stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces for defending the motherland.

The resolutions further congratulated the armed forces on their successful action against Indian aggression and said it was a much needed move to stop the cowed attack of the Indian forces.  The house honoured efforts of the armed forces defending the country’s integrity— ideologically and on ground as well.

Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali while speaking on the resolution said Pakistan’s armed forces through their prompt action against Indian aggression proved their capability and gave a clear and the Indian political and military leadership that the country will not tolerate any aggression from other side and would respond with full force.

“Pakistan has shown a big gesture by releasing the detained Indian pilot but response of the Indian government and media has remained negative,” said Jamali adding the Indian media has been terming the recent violations of the Line of Control (LOC) as a test project and have warned of conducting more attacks.

The former Balochistan chief minister further said the entire world is making efforts to defuse the situation and stressing that issues should be resolved through dialogue.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Ziaullah Langove while speaking at the floor of the house said, “our armed forces through their action foiled nefarious designs of India and the entire nation is united and standing along with its armed forces.”

Opposition leader Malik Sikander Khan Advocate said India is making trouble for Pakistan since the last 70 years and now it is time to expose its ugly face in front of the entire world.

He also criticised the OIC for inviting Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj as a guest of honour in its meeting and supported the decision of boycotting the conference by Pakistan.

Moreover, Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) MPA Akhtar Hussain Langove also supported the resolution and said as a political party we could have differences with the government but when the country faced foreign aggression the entire nation is bound to be united on one page.

“It is the responsibility of the government and political parties to defend the country on diplomatic front,” he said.

Langove further added our religion teaches us to defend the country when neighbour hatch any conspiracy against it. “The entire nation would never allow any enemy to scheme against their mother land.”

Akbar Askani, Sham Lal, Danesh Kumar and Mah Jabeen Sheeran also spoke on the occasion and stressed to defend national cause on diplomatic front. They were of the opinion that India has been trying to isolate Pakistan on the diplomatic front and the political leadership leadership must take step forward and combat India on diplomatic front.
