He made these remarks at the occasion where SDPI signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a youth-led think tank called Center for Sustainability Research and Practice (CSRP).
Suleri said both think-tanks could conduct joint research on issues of mutual interest such as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate change and youth development etc.
The mutual agreement was inked to establish and facilitate mutual cooperation in research and the exchange of technical and scientific information and expertise in order to give the young population of the country more opportunities, said a press release.
CSRP Executive Director Naseem Khan Achakzai said that with a network that has the strength of over 45,000 young students, the center aimed at creating equality.
He said this MoU with SDPI would be utilised to empower the youth through shared knowledge, practices, opportunities and aspirations. The agreement would also explore the opportunities for working towards achieving United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals, he added.
CRSP is a youth led independent think-tank working towards sustainable development and global goals. The Center is a non-partisan think-tank based at The University of Lahore.
SDPI Executive Director Dr Abid Qaiyum Suleri and CSRP Executive Director Naseem Khan Achakzai on behalf of their respective organisations signed the MoU on Friday. Under the MoU, both organisations agreed to develop joint research projects, conduct studies and exchange technical and scientific research techniques in addition to their published reports and studies.
