SPI increases 0.2%

ISLAMABAD: The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended February 28, 2019 registered a rise of 0.2% for the combined income group, going up from 244.97 points in the prior week to 245.45 in the week under review. However, the SPI for the combined income group surged 10.63% compared to the corresponding week of previous year. The SPI for the lowest income group also increased 0.14% compared to the previous week. The index for the group stood at 225.23 points against 224.92 in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the PBS.
