Students to get civil defence training

Due to the current hostile situation in the country, the Punjab government has directed the educational heads of 36 districts across the province to give first aid, rescue and firefighting training to students. These instructions have been issued in the circular issued by Director Monitoring Rana Abdul Qayyum. According to the circular, the schools have been instructed to commence the training with the help of Rescue 1122 and Civil Defense officials this week while the two institutions have designed the training schedules for all the educational institutions up to college level. The District Officer of Civil Defense told Daily Express that the training of civil defense has become mandatory today. The department will provide training to colleges, universities and high schools in the first phase while the youngsters in all union councils will receive training during the second phase.
