According to sources, as many as 36 dispensaries are operating in Islamabad under the administration of Polyclinic Hospital, out of which more than 20 dispensaries are functioning in the colonies and offices of the ruling elite.

Polyclinic Hospital has been held responsible for operating the dispensaries without the approval of the Health Ministry and without any clear cut procedure being decided for the provision of medicines.
