PM chairs National Command Authority meeting

Amid rising tensions with India, Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting of the National Command Authority on Wednesday to discuss Pakistan's response to Indian aggression, Radio Pakistan reported.

The NCA meeting was called after Tuesday's meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC), attended by the country's top civil-military brass including Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umar, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Hayat and Chief of Naval Staff Zafar Mahmood Abbasi.

The premier will also brief the Parliament on the latest situation regarding the Line of Control (LoC) violation committed by the Indian Air Force (IAF) by intruding through Muzaffarabad sector.
