PAF-KIET confers degrees on 672 students

The Pakistan Air Force - Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology (PAF-KIET) on Tuesday conferred degrees on 672 students in the disciplines of Management Sciences, Computer Sciences, Engineering and Media and Arts.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, who was the chief guest, awarded gold and silver medals to distinguished students. Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Training), Air Marshal Shahid Akhtar Alvi, was the guest of honour.
In his welcome address, President of the Institute, Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Tubrez Asif praised the efforts of the students and faculty while emphasizing the role of education and modern research in the development of Pakistan.

Gold medals were awarded to Ramsha Imran (BBA), Sufyan Umar (BSCS), Mirza Sharjeel Javed (BE-Electrical), Zain Hussain Warsi (BE Mechatronics), Sameea Javed (BE Avionics), Muhammad Faizan Asher (BS-ERP), Ilyas (MCS), Qaneta Mateen (MBA) and Syed Muhammad Zeeshan (MS-CS). Silver medal were awarded to Qirat Rais (BBA), Muhammad Zeeshan (BSCS), Noman Raza Shah (BE-Electrical), Shahzadi Maha Irshad (BE Mechatronics), Maryam Tahir Hussain (BE Avionics), Sana Azmat (BS-ERP) and Kiran Zehra Sumrani (MBA).
The College of Management Sciences awarded 113 degrees in BBA and BSAF, 151 in MBA and 11 in MS-MS degree programmes. The College of Computing and Information Sciences awarded 119 degrees in BSCS, 55 in BS-ERP, 30 in MCS & MSc-ERP, 10 in MS-CS, 1 in PhD Computer Science.
A total of 32 degrees were awarded to BCA and BSTV and Film and six to MCA graduates of College of Media and Arts. Furthermore, the College of Engineering awarded 79 degrees to the graduates of BE Electrical, 25 to BE Electronics, 20 to BE Mechatronics, 15 to BE Avionics, three to MS Electronics and two to PhD Electronics degree programmes.
