People across K-P march against Indian war threats

PESHAWAR:
Traders, members of political parties, community leaders and members of civil society staged a protest in Mardan, Lower Dir, and Landi Kotal along with the other districts of the K-P against the Indian threats.

This was the second day of rallies and protests in favour of Pakistan Army.

Some 500,000 people in Lower Dir announced they will stand shoulder by shoulder with the army in case of an Indian attack. The protesters also set the Indian flag on fire as a sign of protest.

Similarly, in Landi Kotal district, a protest was staged against threats Indian leadership was hurling while a rally in favour of Pakistan Army was taken out from Khyber to Landi Kotal Bazaar in which a large number of people from different walks of life participated.

The effigy of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also set on fire during the protest.

In another protest in Lower Dir’s Taimar Garah area, the participants said the tribal people were ready to fight alongside Pakistan Army in case of Indian misadventure. Trade unions, political parties, students and civil society appealed people to participate in the rally to express solidarity with the Pak army. Further, hundreds of people announced to fight along Pak Army against India. Speakers said that the army was fully capable of giving India a befitting reply.

They added Pakistan is a nuclear force and it reserves the right to protect itself while they expressed their support for the defence of the country.

Moreover, they said that the Pulwama attack was an Indian drama while it was India’s old practice to blame Pakistan for any mishap in their country.

The speakers at the protest reminded that the mujahidin defeated Russia and America in Afghanistan and now it was India's turn, they added and condemned the Indian atrocities in Kashmir.

In another protest staged in Dir Bala and rally from DC office to Dir Chowk, an immense number of participants pledged to defend their homeland with Pakistan army.
