SHABQADAR: Sporting activities in the province have resumed after the restoration of peace. This was stated by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman on Sunday as he inaugurated a three-day Frontier Constabulary (FC) Sports Gala at the Shabqadar Fort. The gala is being held after a gap of 12 years. “I feel happy to attend the sports gala,” Farman said, as he paid tribute to martyrs. He termed the day as a historical one for FC since it marked the first such gala for the force after the restoration of peace in the country. He added that Pakistan is a nuclear power and that the enemy seems to be unable to fathom this fact. He further said that today they were celebrating their victor win against terrorists and that the gala will now be an annual event. FC Inspector General Muazam Jah Ansari said that the constabulary has rendered great sacrifices in the past and the gala recognises those sacrifices.
