Sui Northern Gas to resume gas supply by tonight

The Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) said that gas supply to independent power producers will resume by tonight.
According to SNGPL officials repair work at the Sui gas field is 80 percent complete and total gas supply from there will resume by tonight.
As of now gas supply to six IPPs has restored.
A technical fault at the Sui field resulted in a shortfall of 340 million cubic feet.
While a similar problem at the Zamzama gas field created a shortfall of 140 million cubic feet.
Sources said uninterrupted gas supply to the power plants will help in tackling the power crises which is worsening by the day.
