Teaser of Armeena Khan, Mikaal Zulfikar's 'Sherdil' doesn't give away as much as we'd like
Mikaal plays a fighter jet pilot in the film from the Indo-Pak war of 1965
The first official teaser for the upcoming Mikaal Zulfiqar and Armeena Rana Khan-starrer Sherdil is finally here but unfortunately, doesn't give much away about the film.
Sherdil highlights the India-Pakistan war of 1965. Herein, Mikaal plays a Pakistani fighter pilot under oath to protect his nation. The minute-and-half-long video highlights his life at the PAF training academy.

"I’m playing an action-hero in Sherdil and no one has ever seen me in a character like this before," the Cake actor told The Express Tribune earlier.
“We’ve tackled the subject in a way it hasn’t been dealt with before; in a beautiful manner without taking any sides at the same time. I don’t want to reveal too much, but Sherdil will be something very new for Pakistan, without being controversial.”
Ironically, we don't see any glimpse of Armeena in the teaser. Nonetheless, the starlet is eager to make her big comeback with the film. “I loved the storyline and all that it entailed... the struggles and the love. It’s family-oriented, so that’s what I went with as it caters to the entire family," she commented.
"I was approached with a full presentation in an organised manner, shown the storyboards, and I knew Sherdil would be something different that takes us to the next level.”
The film is being shot by renowned Hollywood cinematographer Riki Butland, who has previously been associated with franchises like the Fast & Furious and Star Trek. It also stars Hasan Niazi as the antagonist and model Sabeeka Imam in a supporting role.
Sherdil is slated to hit screens on March 22 and will clash with two other local releases, Laal Kabootar and Project Ghazi.
