Brigadier (retd) Amir Gulistan Janjua, the former governor of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), passed away on Tuesday in Rawalpindi at the age of 95, Radio Pakistan reported.
Funeral prayers of the former governor will be held at Race Course graveyard in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
He served as the governor of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa from 1988 to 1993.

He also served as the ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Nepal.
He had been awarded with Sitara-e-Quaid- e-Azam, Tamga-e-Pakistan, Nishan-e-Taj (Iran), Grand Order of Kokab (Jordon) and Dakshan Bahu (Nepal).
The cause of his death is stated to be natural.
