QUETTA: Balochistan Frontier Corps (FC) Inspector General Major General Fayazul Hassan has lauded the efforts of tribal people in the fight against terrorism.

“Not only security forces but the brave tribal people of Balochistan played a colossal role in restoring peace in Balochistan,” the IG said while addressing a ceremony held by Maiwand Rifles.

Hassan shared that he wanted to meet tribal people of Kohlu from the day he took charge of his duty.

Sector Commander of East Brigadier Zulfiqar Bajwa, Commandant Maiwand Rifles Colonel Hamayun Aslam, Kholu SP Saadullah Kethran, government officials and tribal elders accompanied the IG.

“Enemies of Pakistan attempted to spoil peace in Balochistan but the brave people of Balochistan stood united with security forces and combated the menace of terrorism with unity,” said Hassan.

He also announced an increase in seats for students in Kohlu Cadet College as part of FC’s contribution in education sector.

“Peace leads toward education and development, therefore people should educate their children so that they can utilise their expertise for the country’s development,” he said and announced that a free medical camp would be held in Kohlu every month.
