Drowning: Bodies recovered from canal
Police officials have handed over the bodies to the boys’ families after completing all necessary proceedings.
FAISALABAD:
The bodies of two minors, who drowned in the local canal were recovered after a hectic 24 hours by Rescue 1122 officials on Thursday evening. According to the police officials, seven-year-old Sajid Aleem from Mustafabad and eight-year-old Mohsin Ali from Mansoorabad drowned in the Gogera Branch and Rakh Branch Canals two days ago. The children had jumped into the canal to swim. Rescue 1122 officials rushed to the spot and fished out the bodies after a day’s efforts. Police officials registered a case and have handed over the bodies to the boys’ families after completing all necessary proceedings.
