PTI committed to bring real change, says minister
Minister says new law would have ability to solve the citizens’ civic problems at their doorsteps

Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Local Government and Community Development Muhammad Basharat Raja has said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was determined to bring real change in the country through transfer of powers to the people at the grass-root level for which a new local bodies’ system was being introduced.
The minister expressed these views while presiding over a meeting on Wednesday. The minister assured that the new law would have ability to solve the citizens’ civic problems at their doorsteps as it would give them decision power to identify their own problems and easy access to their elected local government representatives.
He said Nawaz Sharif was being provided best medical treatment facilities available in the country and a medical would review his medical reports. The minister said the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) would present its final report on February 19 and the people responsible for the incident would be brought to the book.
The work is in progress on new law and it will be brought in Assembly with mutual consensus. It is regretful that the local bodies were badly neglected by the last government that has enhanced civic problems in rural as well as urban areas.” He requested all political parties to support the government in its peoples’ friendly agenda and assist in approval of the new law from the assembly so that the public could get benefits in form of development and state of the art service delivery.
