'Pinky Memsaab' to screen at UK Asian Film Festival

The film will be showcased at the closing night on April 6 in London.

After opening to mixed reviews last year in Pakistan, Pinky Memsaab is set to screen at the upcoming 21st UK Asian Film Festival. Last year, Mahira Khan's Verna was showcased at the prestigious film fest.

The theme of the film, as the lead character of the film, Mehr narrates is,“Kuch cheezen door se bohot achi lagti hain, per paas jao… toh woh baat rehti hi nahi. (Some things look very admirable from afar, but when you come closer, it’s just not the same.”

Directed and written by debutant Shazia Ali Khan, Pinky Memsaab portrays the lives of Pinky (Hajra Yamin), Mehr (Kiran Malik), Hassan (Adnan Jaffar) and Santosh (Sunny Hinduja).


The festival is scheduled to take place from March 27 to April 7 and Pinky Memsaab will be showcased at the closing night of the festival on April 6 in London.
