Teenager shot dead over minor dispute

Ali was on his way to the market to buy fodder for cattle when the culprits intercepted him and opened fire

FAISALABAD: A boy was shot dead over a minor dispute in Faisalabad’s Makkuana area, Express News reported on Monday.

An official of Khurianwala police station said 19-year-old Muhammad Ali, a resident of Chak No 205-RB, had an argument with two other boys of the same area. They were identified as Shabbir Ahmed and Khalid.

He added that after a heated debate, Shabbir and Khalid threatened the victim before leaving.

He maintained that on the day of the incident, Ali was on his way to the market to buy fodder for cattle when the culprits ambushed him and opened fire. The official mentioned that the victim suffered bullet injuries and died on the spot. Later, the accused fled the scene.

The Khurianwala police have registered a case against the accused and started investigations.

On January 9, a man was gunned down over an enmity within the Saddar police station precincts in Faisalabad.

Muhammad Saleem, a resident of Sir Syed Town, was riding a motorcycle along with his wife when four unidentified armed suspects ambushed them.

The accused took Saleem a few metres away from the roadside and opened fire on him. As a result, the victim suffered a bullet injury to the head. He was rushed to Civil Hospital for treatment but could not survive.
