Couple file Rs100m damages suit against K-P cops
Police accused of implicating couple in fabricated criminal case
ABBOTTABAD:
A former woman councilor and her husband have filed damages suit worth of Rs100 million against three police officials for implicating them in a fabricated criminal case and keeping them locked up for seven days damaging their reputation in society.
Jamsheed Bibi and her husband Muhammad Shabbir residents of Nagri Bala through Sabir Hussain Tanoli Advocate filed the suit against Mumtaz Muhammad Irfan, Jamilur Rehman former DSP Galiyat presently posted as DSP Investigation Haripur, Gohar Rehman former SHO Dunga Gali and ASI Khalid former investigation officer police station Donga Gali.
The case was referred to Civil Judge 5 and next date of hearing was fixed for March 18th.
The petitioners stated that the said police officials held a grudge against them because they had filed complaint with the ombudsman regarding the misdeeds of these cops.
