Talks with Dutch coach fruitful: PHF
LAHORE:
The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has had productive discussions with Dutch coach Michel van den Heuvel over plans of taking over the coaching role of the Pakistan team. The talks, according to a PHF official, remained fruitful on the second day as both sides began finalising details.
“It was a productive meeting with the Dutch coach,” the official told The Express Tribune. “Talks progressed beyond the security concerns and the discussions have now entered the terms and conditions phase.”
According to the details, Heuvel demanded that he brings his own physio while the PHF asked him to coach the youth teams as well as the national side on their terms.
“Things have been moving positively, which is a healthy sign, and if all remains well, we may hire him as our new coach.”
