Family, relative protest against youth’s murder
Victim was shot dead outside sessions courts a couple of days ago

The family and relatives of a 30-year-old man, Bilal Azeem, who was shot dead outside sessions court a few days ago, staged a protest at Mughalpura Chowk on Sunday.
The protesters placed the victim's body on the road and blocked it for traffic which caused a nuisance to the public.
Police said the victim had tied the knot in a love marriage. The family of his wife had registered an abduction case against him at Mughalpura police station. On the day of the incident, he was at the sessions court to attend court proceedings. As he reached the gate, unidentified suspects riding a motorcycle ambushed him and opened fire at him. As a result, he died on the spot.
The protesters demanded justice and an immediate release of the suspects. The victim’s brother said he brother got married six months back. However, differences ensued between them. "Who kidnaps his own wife? The case was falsely registered against him."
He said that Bilal and his in-laws had a dispute over an amount of Rs0.35 million. He alleged that they had stolen the money from their house. Besides, Bilal’s brother-in-law who was also an accused person in the case disliked him. He accused police of doing nothing so far. He demanded Prime Minister Imran Khan to take notice of the incident and help them get the justice.
"I want nothing but my son back," said Bilal’s mother. The deceased had been living in Dubai. He worked as a fitness coach there. He had also won the title of ‘Mister Lahore'.
Separately, a 27-year-old woman was abducted by unidentified suspects from Mustafa Town on Sunday.
The woman, identified as Quratul Ain, was at her office when unidentified suspects approached her and asked her to come out of the office. The suspects pushed her into a car just as she stepped out of her office.
Police have collected forensic evidence from the crime scene and also found some CCTV footages. The victim could be seen in the car in CCTV footage. However, there was no number-plate on the car. Police said that they were searching for the woman.
At least 14 people died while 922 suffered injuries in 841 road accidents in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
Out of the injured, 539 were seriously injured while 369 suffered minor injuries. Almost 80% of the accidents involved motorcycles. Analysis showed that 410 drivers, 20 underage drivers, 118 pedestrians and 394 passengers were among the victims of these road crashes. The statistics showed that 213 accidents were reported in Lahore which affected 211 persons placing the provincial capital at the top of the list followed by 85 in Faisalabad with 95 victims and Multan at third with 56 RTCs and 57 victims.
