Headquarters police issues weekly report

Provide training to private security guards of different multinational companies

SP Headquarters Syed Karrar Hussain has said Headquarters Wing of Lahore Police was effectively contributing to maintain law and order in the provincial capital and imparting training to police officials in different sectors.

As many as 3,023 under trial prisoners from Lahore and 46 prisoners from other districts were safely presented in different courts by the Headquarters' Judicial Wing. Sharing the weekly performance report, SP Karar said police reserve units were deployed in different areas of the city on daily basis to maintain law and order. He said foolproof security was provided to the protests, rallies and operations carried out against encroachments, protection of VIP, VVIPs and other sensitive places including churches, mosques and related religious buildings.


Lady police constables of Headquarters Wing presented 54 female prisoners in the relevant courts whereas more than 60 lady constables performed security duties at important places including State Bank, different courts, shrines and Civil Secretariat as well. Free medical treatment was provided to as many as 63 police employees at emergency department and 689 patients at outdoor department of the THQ hospital of Police Lines.

Syed Karar Hussain said guards of security division and private guards of different multinational companies were given training in firing range of Police Lines. Firing practice of as many as 216 officials was conducted with different guns. He said 330 policemen of the Anti-Riot Force performed duties whereas more than 1,230 protestors were dispersed peacefully and main roads were cleared from protests ensuring law and order situation in the city. Syed Karrar Hussain said 15 policemen donated blood to patients of Intensive Care Unit (ICUs) of different hospitals. A training course on "Better Service Delivery and Attitudinal Change" was also held to bring improvement in behaviour and working of policemen.
