SHC rejects appeal against death sentence
Basheer and his accomplices had kidnapped and murdered the minor girl in 2012
KARACHI:
The Sindh High Court (SHC) rejected the appeal on Wednesday against the death sentence awarded to the convict involved in the case of raping and murdering a six-year-old girl, but directed the trial court to reexamine the case.
A two-member bench, comprising Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto and Justice KK Agha, rejected the convict, Basheer’s appeal against his death sentence. The court also directed the trial court to review the case. Basheer and his accomplices had kidnapped and murdered the minor girl in 2012.
