The feature is becoming famous for WhatsApp with an emphasis on security and privacy becoming more prominent for the messaging giant.
WhatsApp co-founder asks users to delete Facebook
To enable the feature, you need to go to your settings and then accounts. From there you can turn on the privacy and screen lock. You must make sure to have the touch ID or Face ID unlocked for WhatsApp.
Several users also received an update for Instagram to use Face ID with the company confirming that they are currently testing the feature and will soon roll it out worldwide.
WhatsApp makes changes to group chat
Previously, WhatsApp made headlines when Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg announced his plans to unify the underlying messaging infrastructure of the WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger services and incorporate end-to-end encryption into these apps.
The update is live in WhatsApp’s version 2.19 for iOS only which is available to users. Users are hoping an Android version will be available soon.
