Kashmir Day: People across K-P condemn Indian atrocities

Vow to continue supporting Kashmiri peoples’ right to self-determinations

PESHAWAR:
People across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa including the merged districts of the erstwhile Fata observed Kashmir Solidarity Day through staging rallies and meetings in various parts of the province.

In this connection different religious-political and other political parties took out rallies to express solidarity with Kashmiris in their struggle for right to self-determination and liberation from the Indian occupation.

To express solidarity with Kashmiris in their struggle for the right of self-determination, Tehrik-e-Azadi Jammu and Kashmir staged a protest demonstration in front of Peshawar Press Club (PPC).

The participants of the rally, led by Haji Mohammad Iqbal and other office bearers of the movement, were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against Indian atrocities in Kashmir.

Addressing the rally, the speakers said that since independence, Indian forces have killed thousands of Kashmiris and have also rendered innocent people disabled through their cruelties.

They said that February 5 is not just Kashmir Day, rather is the day of the completion of Pakistan and time will come very soon that the paradise valley of Kashmir will become part of Pakistan. They termed the silence of United Nations and other world forces over the atrocities of Indian forces in Kashmir as their double standard.

Pakistan Railway Workers Union also staged rally against Indian atrocities. The protesters said that the people of Kashmir are facing the longest martial law of the world. They said that India has forcibly turned the beautiful valley of Kashmir into their cantonment.

The protesters also condemned the open of use of chemical weapons by Indian forces against the innocent Kashmiris, which has rendered several youth blind. They said that they are standing along with Kashmiris and will reach their voice to all corners of the world.

Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan also took out a rally to express solidarity with Kashmiris brethren from its district office Nishterabad which after passing from different bazaars turned into a public meeting at Hashtnagri.

Addressing the participants of the rally, JI K-P Ameer Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan said that the people of Kashmir are struggling for independence since 1931.

He paid tributes to spirit of the struggle of independence of Kashmiris. He said that Indian army is carrying extra-judicial killings in Kashmir and they have been issued license to kill by their government while UN and other champions of the human rights have become silent spectators to the violation of human rights in the valley.


The people all across Hazara division also observed Kashmir Day to show solidarity with Kashmiris and express their support to their struggle for freedom.

In Abbottabad, Haripurpur, Mansehra and other parts of the region, a one-minute silence was also observed with rest of the country at 10am to pay rich tribute to the sacrifices of the people of Kashmir and their struggle.

On this occasion, the speakers highlighted the sacrifices of the people of Kashmir and demanded from United Nations to pay attention to the severe issue of the right of self-determination of Kashmiris.

Participants of the rally were also holding the banners and place cards inscribed with the slogans against Indian atrocities in held Kashmir.

Different political and religious parties in tribal district Bajaur of the erstwhile Fata region also organised rallies and gathering in various trade centres of the district where the participants have strongly condemned the Indian government for its inhuman behaviour with innocent Kashmiris.

Meanwhile, PTI and Pakistan Zindabad Tahafuz Movement have also organized a joint rally at Inayat Kalli Bazaar, the largest commercial centre of the district.

Addressing the rally speakers including PTI MNA Gul Zafar Khan renewed their pledge to continue moral, political and diplomatic support for the oppressed Kashmiris being brutally killed by Indian occupied forces with any remorse.

The speakers strongly condemned the Indian atrocities against the innocent people of occupied Kashmir.

They also lauded the federal government for highlighting the Kashmir dispute on different forums, saying the day was near that Kashmir would integrate with Pakistan.
