'Load Wedding' bags Best Feature Film award at Indian Film Festival
The five day extravaganza showcases a diverse, language independent, selection of the best feature films

The Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat-starrer Load Wedding bagged the award for Best Feature Film (International) at the Rajasthan International Film Festival 2019 (RIFF), stated a press release.
RIFF is the biggest Academic and Glamour Film Festival in Rajasthan. The five-day extravaganza showcased a diverse, language independent selection of the best feature films, documentaries and short films from around the world, based on the themes of Hindi, English and Rajasthani cultures and identities.
In addition, the festival also featured concerts, gala events, film parties, seminars, workshops and networking opportunities with government representatives, business leaders and local organisations that support film development, actors , producers, directors, members of the media and more.
RIFF works for the technical and academic aspects of cinema. The organisation makes attempts to connect the world cinema with the common public and making it a social concern, through conducting various seminars, debates and discussions.
Load Wedding with its top-notch direction, strong-knitted script with the right amount of comedy and emotion, toe tapping music and vibrant colours managed to impress the jury against the enormous number of films nominated this year.
The producer of the film, Fizza Ali Meerza, said in a statement, “We are extremely thrilled that our hard work is getting recognized internationally. We always believe in working with stories that has a positive message to give back to society and portrayal of a positive image of Pakistan worldwide. This is the first award Load Wedding won since the release, and we are sure it’s the first of many."
Director Nabeel Qureshi added, “It’s always a very pleasant feeling to see your work being recognised and acknowledged. Load Wedding is a film very different from all the other films I have done and also very special to me. I’m very happy to be honored by this award from RIFF 2019."
