Implementation committee reviews progress on dams
SC-constituted committee discusses financial plans of Mohmand Dam Hydropower Project and Diamer-Bhasha Dam Project

The Implementation Committee on Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dams, constituted by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, reviewed progress on both the dams in a meeting held on Monday. Chairing the meeting, Wapda Chairman Muzammil Hussain expressed satisfaction over the performance by the implementation committee and its sub-committees for early commencement of construction work on the Mohmand Dam Hydropower Project and Diamer-Bhasha Dam Project.
Moving further, detailed presentations regarding the progress achieved on the two dams were displayed. Financial plans of the two projects were also discussed. The meeting was informed that the procurement of civil and electro-mechanical works for Mohmand Dam was being done in accordance with PPRA rules and PEC rules.
