Children enjoy a day at art festival
More than 300 children from under-privileged communities participate in the event
KARACHI:
I AM KARACHI, in partnership with Martin Dow Group, organised the International Public Art Festival (IPAF) for children on Saturday at the Alliance Francaise de Karachi. The show was specially designed for children who generally do not have access to such events. Children with disabilities from JS Academy, Family Educational Services Foundation, Deaf Reach, Markaz-e-Umeed and Pakistan Association of Deaf attended the event. More than 300 children from under-privileged communities from schools including SMB Fatima, Hilal Public School, Khadija Public School and Rehnuma Public School also participated. Activities included origami making photography workshop, painting the outer walls of Alliance Francaise and a storytelling session. The students of from Karachi Grammar School, Karachi University and Karachi school of Art illustrated the popular French fable ‘Babar the Elephant’.
