LAHORE: A man allegedly beat his wife to death at their house in Shadbagh on Saturday. Police said that Kashif, a resident of Shadbagh, allegedly beat up his wife, Samina Bibi, with a stick after a heated argument.
As a result, Samina suffered severe head injuries. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, according to police. Kashif fled the scene after the incident.

On receiving information, police reached the spot and took the body into their custody. Police also registered a murder case against the suspect on the complaint of the victim’s brother. They are looking for the suspect. The couple had three children.
In a separate incident, a 15-year-old girl committed suicide by consuming poisonous pills at her house in Raiwind.
Her family informed the police that they did not know why she took this extreme step. The body was shifted to a nearby hospital with an investigation into the incident underway.
