ISLAMABAD:
Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued traffic violation tickets to 78 VIPs including parliamentarians, diplomats and bureaucrats during January, said SSP-Traffic Dr Farrukh Rasheed on Thursday. He said that ITP personnel are ensuring equal implementation. The VIPs fined during the ongoing year included 25 government officials, 18 diplomats, nine media representatives, seven MNAs, three MPAs, six army officials, five judiciary officers and others. "Whether there is any VIP or common people on the road, everyone is equal to us and it is our responsibility to save his or her life through ensuring implementation on traffic rules," the SSP (Traffic) maintained.
