Wrong surgery: Probe committee to fix responsibility
Inquiry reveals doctors operated on Gul Jan's abdomen when she was admitted for removal of a rod from her leg

Ayub Medical Complex administration has constituted high level committee to fix the responsibility for conducting the operation of a patient of orthopaedic whose abdomen operation was conducted wrongly.
Committee was constituted by Hospital Director Prof Ahsan Aurangzeb, who after the initial inquiry, found that 55-years old patient Gul Jan was supposed to undergo a procedure for removing a rod from her leg. However doctors cut open her abdomen.
The investigation committee includes Prof Raza Muhammad Khan, Prof Naseer Ahmed and Associate Prof Zaheer Ahmed who had been given task to complete report in 24 hours.
