Rioters in Saddar attack fire brigade station overnight

Firing continued till morning and caused an uproar in Saddar.

KARACHI: Violence in the city that started as a result of riots in Saddar last night continued till early morning today, resulting in damage to a fire brigade station.

Miscreants attacked the station and opened fire leading to extensive damage to two fire brigades. The miscreants also destroyed the office interior.

During the attack, fire brigade officials hid inside their office to keep themselves safe. The officials added that police failed to show up to the spot on time to effectively deal with the emergency.

The riots broke out as a result of ongoing tensions in the city including target killings in different areas.
