Saeed said Swat was a great tourist destination, and it was necessary to facilitate tourists in exploring its natural beauty.
“Tourism is one of the promising sectors which earn foreign exchange,” he said, adding that with the assistance of PIA management, Saidu Sharif airport will be reopened.

The airport, situated near the Swat river, was built in 1978.
Last week, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan assured that the K-P government would extend every possible support for upgrading and extension of the airport.
“This airport would have a key role in the changing scenario. This region is going to be a hub of trade and investment...," he was quoted as saying.
