QUETTA: Minister for Balochistan Developmental Authority (BDA) Mir Sikandar Umrani has said that major development projects will soon be launched in Naseerabad district.

During a visit to various areas of his constituency on Sunday, the minister said the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) has always avoided politics based on false claims.

Umrani said the BAP would never make pledges which were out of its domain. Deputy Commissioner Qurban Ali Magsi, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Irfan Bashir and others were also present on the occasion.

The minister also visited schools in Chather area and checked the attendance registers. Umrani vowed to resolve issues of the division.

The people of Naseerabad would experience change in the conditions very soon, he added. “I have consulted the higher authorities of health department to ensure provision of food and other basic necessities of life to the people of Chather, as they too are affected by the prevalent drought-like conditions,” said Umrani.

He said previous representatives of the area had “intentionally” kept the local people deprived. As democratic people, the BAP leaders would leave no stone unturned in serving the people of Naseerabad, he added.
