Month-End: Rice growers asked to complete sowing
Growers should complete rice cultivation before June 30 for better and higher production: Agricultural experts.

Agricultural experts have asked growers to complete cultivation of rice before June 30 in order to get better and higher production.
According to a spokesman for the Agriculture Department, the farmers should cultivate approved varieties of paddy crop, adding saplings of Basmati-370, Basmati-385, Basmati Pak, Basmati-2000 and Basmati-515 should be planted in fields up to June 20 while Saheen Basmati could be cultivated up to June 30. He also offered the Agriculture Department’s assistance, saying experts were available for consultation and guidance of growers.
