Teachers’ selection on merit pledged
'The provincial government has been taking serious steps toward educational development in the province'

Minister for Information and Higher Education Zahoor Ahmed Buledi has stressed the need for merit in selection of teachers.
In a statement on Saturday, Buledi said, “Without keen attention toward education we can’t make Balochistan prosper. Therefore, the provincial government has been taking serious steps toward educational development in the province.”
He added the government was striving for ensuring merit in all educational institutions. Appointment of principals and teachers on merit was the priority of the government, he said. “We have decided to focus solely on merit while appointing heads of educational institutions.”

Buledi said the government cannot allow anyone to risk human lives by smuggling petrol and diesel on passenger buses. He added that strict measures were being taken to prevent smuggling of fuel through public transport.
