Intense Heat: Mango crop damaged

The intense heat in Kunri tehsil of Umerkot district has damaged ripened mangoes.

UMERKOT: The intense heat in Kunri tehsil of Umerkot district has damaged ripened mangoes as the fruits have started falling off the trees on their own.

Since they cannot be transported promptly to wholesale markets, the mangoes are rotting in the fields. This has decreased the price of mangoes to Rs150 per 10 kilograms instead of the old price of Rs350.
