CM Balochistan inspects security for Friday prayers
QUETTA:
Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani paid a surprise visit to downtown Quetta Friday morning and inspected security arrangements for Friday congregations.
Raisani visited Eidgahs, mosques and imambargahs and inspected arrangements made by the local administration and the city police, including traffic plans. DIG Operations Hamid Shakeel briefed the chief minister on the security measures taken in the provincial capital.
Talking to the media, Raisani called upon people to forge unity and foil the designs of those who want to disrupt the peace of the city and create discord between different sects and communities. Commenting on the recent attacks in Lahore, Raisani said that all the saner elements had condemned the acts of terror that killed innocent worshippers.
The chief minister maintained that the people of Balochistan would not let the terrorists exploit the situation. He also urged the media to expose the anti-social elements.
Raisani also directed the civil administration and the police to further boost security arrangements to ensure safety of life and property.
