Veterinary Practice: 128 DVM students start internships
Students will do four-month internships this summer to develop practical skills

A total of 128 final year Diploma in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students will do four-month internships this summer to develop practical skills, according to a press release from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS). Vice Chancellor Prof Muhammad Nawaz, addressing the students at a ceremony at the university’s conference hall on Wednesday, said they must revolutionise the livestock, poultry and dairy sectors at the grassroots level through the use of technology and expertise. Prof Nawaz said that Pakistan’s livestock population was increasing despite illegal animal smuggling.
