Pakistan faces many economic challenges, says FM Qureshi
Foreign minister believes FSA diplomats are the best in the business
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Thursday said that Pakistan is facing many economic challenges but the Foreign Service is leading from the front and is ensuring that an environment of stability is created.
Addressing the graduating diplomats at the Foreign Services Academy (FSA), he urged the graduating diplomats to serve the nation to the best of their capabilities and told them that they will face many challenges during their careers.
“Pakistan has produced brilliant diplomats but we have still failed in the past sometimes. We have failed because we have not been able to persevere in the face of challenges,” he said reiterating the need to work hard.
He praised the Foreign Service and said that other departments want diplomats as capable as those churned out by the FSA. He told the graduating diplomats that he is proud of them and that he believes just like the Foreign Service has delivered in the past, they will deliver in the future.
