22-year-old traffic police constable, Ahtesham Ahmed, was allegedly shot dead by unknown assailants

The 22-year-old traffic police constable, Ahtesham Ahmed, who was allegedly shot dead by unknown assailants on Monday morning while he was on the way to his duty, was laid to rest after funeral prayers held at Garden South Police Headquarters in the afternoon.
The funeral was attended by Sindh Inspector-General (IG) Dr Kaleem Imam, East deputy IG (DIG), Karachi Traffic DIG, all zones SSPs, and other police officials along with friends and family.
According to police, Ahmed was shot at Garden East area on Monday morning. He had been posted at the intersection of Mazar-e-Quaid.
Sindh IG, expressing grief and solidarity with the family of Ahmed, said that effective measures and intelligence-based actions will be taken against the culprits.
