FAISALABAD: University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa has said the varsity and Nigerian institutions' collaboration in the field of agriculture would help bring tangible results.

He was speaking at a meeting with High Commissioner of Nigeria Major-General (retd) Ashimiyu Adebayo Olaniyi on Friday.

The VC said agriculture was the backbone of the country’s economy and the UAF was enjoying good relations with the educational and agricultural institutions worldwide.

Adebayo said Pakistan and Nigeria shared similar agriculture base and they must collaborate in this sector to eliminate rural poverty and ensure food security.
