Mazari clarifies 10-day paternity leave comes with caveats
Federal Cabinet approved 10-day paternity for employees of National Commission on Status of Women
Following reports that the government approved 1o-day paternity leave, Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari has clarified that it is not applicable to everyone.
Taking to Twitter, the minister said that the 10-day leave only applied to employees of the National Commission on Status of Women.
"Just to clarify - so far this has only been included in the NCSW Rules the Cabinet approved last week," she tweeted on Tuesday.
The minister added that she, however, was working "on how to expand this across the board".

Earlier, Federal Secretary Ministry of Human Rights Rabiya Javeri Agha tweeted that the decision had been approved "for the first time in Pakistan".
She thanked Mazari for the approval.
