Anti Narcotics Force recovers 1.12kg of heroin from a parcel booked for Canada
KARACHI:
The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) on Tuesday recovered 1.12 kilogrammes of heroin from a parcel booked for Canada.
Officials of ANF Police Station-2 Korangi, Karachi on a tip-off reached the office of a private courier service and intercepted the suspicious parcel and recovered drugs concealed in ladies fancy suits, an official of the force said.
The parcel was booked on national identity card of Mirza Maqsood son of Muhammad Mirza Fazal Hussain resident of Karachi for Nesto Riza resident of Canada.The ANF initiated further investigations into the matter.

On January 12, the Islamabad police, along with the ANF personnel, searched the villages of ‘Dore’ and ‘Athal' and recovered a huge cache of narcotics.
On directions from IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar, Islamabad SSP Waqaruddin Syed devised a plan to search areas where they had received complaints that drugs were being smuggled.
During the targeted operation, police recovered a cache of drugs, including hashish, heroin, opium and ice (crystal methamphetamine).
